Going to a new church for the first time can be a bit scary. Will I get there on time? Will there be space to park? What if my baby needs changing? How long does the service last for? What do I wear?

Don’t worry: everyone at IBC has been through the same experience: we were all first time visitors once! So we want to make every effort to make sure your first experience is worry-free. Here are some tips on what to expect at IBC.

• Coming by metro? We run a shuttle service from outside the Kraainem metro station and the church. Look for the IBC minibus, which runs every Sunday between 9:30 and 10:45.
• There’s abundant car parking space. Park behind the church or in the car park by the cemetery.
• Wheelchair access. There is a ramp from the back parking lot to the first level where the sanctuary is located. There is accessibility to the lower level by exiting the church via the ramp and going around to the front door of the church. There are accessible toilets on the first and lower levels.
• A warm welcome – Upon entering the church you will be warmly greeted and given the weekly bulletin.
• Welcome Pack – If you are a visitor, introduce yourself and we will be delighted to give you a Welcome Pack.
• Baby-Parent Quiet Spaces – Parents are welcome to use either the Baby-Parent Quiet Space (babies up to 9 months) at the rear of the Worship Centre or Room 107 – Media Room (up to 2 1/2 years) where the worship service is broadcasted.

• Children Church: Children church is available parallel to Sunday Worship Service. Children are taught in age-appropriate ways. Registration starts at 10:45.
• A Christ-centered service – A typical service at IBC starts with a short Bible reading and prayer and then we worship God. We use a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs, supported by piano, guitars, drums and various other instruments. All the words are printed on the order of service.
• A Bible-based sermon – Discover the truth of the Bible and how God through the power of the Holy Spirit helps us with every day living. A sermon normally lasts for 30 minutes.
• Congregational prayer is a key part of the service at which prayers are offered for individuals, organizations, countries and needs. Frequently there is an open time of prayer at which members of the congregation can mention their prayer requests.
• Congregational life – The week’s notices, plus the opportunity for visitors to stand and introduce themselves briefly. This is entirely voluntary, but is a good way to become known to our regular members.
• After the service – The whole service lasts about 90 minutes. Afterwards you are welcome to join us downstairs for coffee, tea and biscuits, where we hope to get to know you better.
