General guide for following the Daniel fast

Wake up

Drink a glass of water. Drinking water regularly. 

Breakfast: Must be before 10am

Drink a glass of water.

Fruit breakfast, including ¼ – ½ cup of raw, unsalted edible nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, Brazil nuts etc.) or seeds (sunflower, pumpkin or pine nuts) with your fruit.

Mid-morning: before 12am

Drink a glass of water.

Eat 1-2 portions of fresh fruit.

Lunch: Before 3pm

Drink a glass of water.

Start with any raw vegetable or salad but make sure you cover the minimum of one side or bread plate.

You can follow this with any cooked vegetables and/or a natural starch like brown rice, baked potato, yams or a protein like nuts.

Mid-afternoon: before 5pm

Drink a glass of water.

Eat 1-2 portions of fresh fruit or vegetables.

You could also have a raisins, dates or preservative free dried fruit.

Supper: before 8pm

Drink a glass of water.

Start with any raw vegetable or salad but make sure you cover the minimum of one side or bread plate.

You can follow this with any cooked vegetables and/or natural starch.

After 8pm

Fresh fruit and raw vegetables only.
