Open Doors is the world’s largest outreach to persecuted Christians in the most high-risk places. You have most probably guessed that the “heroes” of the “Heroes Race” are not the runners, but those whose faith remains unshaken even when faced with severe persecution.

Last year, IBC Brussels together with Belgian and French churches helped to rebuild / repair 16 houses for 16 families in Iraq through Open Doors. IBC helped to build 1 house for 1 family.

This year we hope to give our brothers and sisters in Christ in Colombia the opportunity to let their children go to a safe school in an Open Doors facility. The goal is to actually give money so that 12 children can go to school for a whole year.

Hopefully, we will be able, together with other churches in Belgium and France, to raise the necessary funds.

Please visit IBC’s Heroes Race group website  and give cheerfully to those who have the lowest donations on their ALVARUM account, so that everyone is allowed to run the race on the 12th of May 2019. 

For 6 Km race we need a minimum of 250 Euros per runner. Unfortunately, it is not allowed to transfer money from one runner’s account to another. The amount must be on the runners‘ accounts by 5 May latest.
