New appointment for the Heroes Race on the 10th of October 2020, in the park of Tervuren, close to IBC Brussels!
Open Doors is the world’s largest outreach to persecuted Christians in the most high-risk places. You have most probably guessed that the “heroes” of the “Heroes Race” are not the runners, but those whose faith remains unshaken even when faced with severe persecution.
This year we will race in the park of Tervuren, to raise money for our brothers and sisters in North Cameroon. The project is to give them their daily needs. They need more food now, due to the attacks of Boko Haram, who rob them of all they have, even their food. This is a worthy project to run for; to raise funds for the everyday needs of 3.000 North Cameroon brothers and sisters (the goal of the IBC group is =4.000€).
Remember we are not alone, we have a lot of brothers and sisters in Belgium and in France who are also willing to run for those 3.000 Christians (=41.300€ for the total project) and above all, He who gave His life for us will be with us all the time.
Even when He was on the cross, He taught of us (sinners) and He commanded us to do the same: to give to others what we can, without expecting anything in return, just as He did. He died to rescue us, to free us from sin and not to make us slaves, because we were already slaves => slaves of Satan, by sinning and doing earthly things which are detestable to our God Almighty.
I ask you either to enroll as a runner for our IBC-group, as soon as possible, and/or to donate to someone in the group, so that the whole IBC group would eventually have the 4.000 euros for Cameroon. You can do all this on the Alvarum site:
