And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

God created us to be in relationship with him and with others. For some of us this is natural, while for others it is an enduring struggle. After all, we live in times that promote individualism and self-reliance. Add to this the social restrictions of the coronavirus and more and more of us are losing our connectedness or feeling the stress of not being able to connect in ways we’ve been accustomed to in the past.

A Connect Group is a group of people that gather around a particular topic, electronically or in person, for the purpose of sharing life and building relationship.  Connect Groups are organized around different interests, such as walking, books, flower arrangement, photography, cooking, parenting, outreach, you name it. Each Connect Group decides how to organize itself, when and how they come together. Connect Groups are open to all as means to build relationships and help us to be faithful witnesses of God’s love and truth in our communities.

Evangelism for the Fearful
(Coordinator: Brian Hughes)

All of us have fears about evangelism. We know we should do it, or do it better, but too often lack the confidence, experience of knowledge we think necessary to avoid embarrassing ourselves or finding ourselves in awkward or uncomfortable situations. We do indeed have very good news that the world so desperately needs to hear. Thankfully, evangelism is a team activity. God has given us each other to sharpen and encourage one another in all aspects of Christian living, including evangelism.

The aim of this connect group is to allow ordinary Christians to share their experiences, challenges, fears and victories in sharing the Gospel as a means to encourage, equip and pray for one another in this vital part of Christian faith.

We meet for an hour every other week on Thursday, at 20:30-21:30 via Zoom (link will be provided after joining the group via the form below). Please join us and may the Lord bless you richly

Connect group

(Coordinator: Jos Sneyers)

The walking group is an initiative to bring brothers and sisters together in a relaxed and healthy way, which may lead to new contacts and friendships – particularly in this  time of Corona where isolation is a problem for many people.Currently there are restrictions because of Corona that we will respect. For example, for the time being (January 2021) we can only walk together in groups of 4 people with the necessary distance between those walking. It is possible that several groups of 4 can walk the same course but with a large distance from each other (for example 20 – 30 meters). After Corona we can change the approach. For example we could combine a walk with first having lunch together after Sunday service, then driving to the place where we will walk.

Walking has several advantages. Besides the fact that walking is healthy for our body, it can also have a spiritual benefit.
Walking in beautiful surroundings and relaxing in nature easily invites you to give thanks to God for His creation.
When you walk with brothers and sisters, it has an additional advantage. You can easily make contact with others. In this way you get to know other brothers and sisters better, which may result in encouraging and praying for each other where necessary. It will indeed foster fellowship.
Do take these opportunities to get to know brothers and sisters better and to enjoy rich fellowship.  You are most welcome !

Everyone is welcome but not everyone has the same expectations and is in the same circumstances.
For example, a young family with small children (possibly with a buggy) will not have the same wishes as a group of youngsters. That is why minimal information from the participants is needed to meet everyone’s wishes as much as possible.

Depending on the group we can decide on distance and location, presumably in a radius of 20 km from Wezembeek- Oppem.
There is an extensive walking network between Leuven, Wezembeek – Oppem and Tervuren with many possibilities.

depending on the wishes of the subscriber. The intention is that the walks will have a certain rhythm regardless of the season.

Please fill in the form for registration and indication of some information about your wishes and limitations….
