General

• Till further notice browsing the shelves is only possible in 1/3 of the library.
• All available books can be found in the online database. You can search by subject, title, author, keyword, publisher, etc.
• On entering the library, ask the librarian about the books you like to borrow.
• Keep the place neat. The library workers and IBC are not responsible for the safety of your belongings. There is a lost and found box in the corridor, in which found items will be kept for some time.
• The library and all its facilities are for study and research. Silence, tidiness, and order should be maintained. Please turn off the sound on all your devices while in the library.
• Eating and drinking are not allowed in the library, except for bottled water.

Borrowing/consulting items

• Only borrow items with your own library card.
• Always check out items to your account if you want to take them out of the library.
• Items that are ‘not for loan’ may be consulted in the library. Only IBC pastor/board/elders/home group leaders can borrow these items.
• Return borrowed items on time. Contact us if there is an issue.
• Treat the items carefully.
• Don’t take books from our library abroad.
• Books that you want to continue to consult in the library at another time can be given to the librarian, to make them available for you at the library desk.
• Always hand over items you no longer need to consult to the librarian. Please do not put them back on the shelves yourself.
